Shelby started this business because of her background and love for childcare. One day, she was asked to look after a bride and groom’s children during their wedding and reception, and it turned out to be such a fun and rewarding experience. That moment inspired her to create a service that allows families to include their children in special events while having someone dedicated to caring for them. She also wanted to extend this support beyond events, offering off-site childcare for families whenever they need it.

 

With over 15 years of childcare experience — including 8 years as a full-time professional nanny — Shelby has built a career around creating safe, fun, and engaging spaces for children. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University, is CPR and First Aid certified, has a clear background check, and liability insurance protection, ensuring the highest level of trust and care for every family she serves.

 

Her journey started at a young age, growing up in a dance studio where she not only trained but also became a dance teacher during her college years. That experience of teaching, leading, and nurturing children deepened her love for working with little ones. Today, as both a childcare professional and a mom to a two-year-old daughter, she brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to every family she works with.

Outside of childcare, Shelby enjoys spending time with her husband, who is her best friend, loves exploring new places, being with her enormous family and indulging in self-care (painting her nails is her favorite!)
