About the Founder
Hi I'm Shelby! I started this business because of my background and love for childcare. One day, I was asked to look after a bride and groom’s children during their wedding and reception, it turned out to be such a fun and rewarding experience. Which inspired me to create a service that allows families to include their children in special events while having someone dedicated to care for them. I also wanted to extend this support beyond events, offering off-site childcare for families from out of town or someone local for kid-less events. Not everyone has childcare in their back pocket!
With over 15 years of childcare experience, including 8 years as a full-time professional nanny, I have built a career around creating a safe, fun, and entertaining environment for children. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University, CPR and First Aid certified, a clear background check, and liability insurance protection. Ensuring the highest level of trust and care for every family I serve.
My childcare journey started at a young age. Between babysitting for my family and their friends, I also grew up in a dance studio where I not only trained, I was a dance teacher for 4 years as well. That experience of teaching, leading, and caring for children deepened my love for working with little ones. Today, as both a full-time nanny and a mom to a two-year-old daughter, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to every family I work with.

Outside of childcare, I enjoy spending time with my husband, who is my best friend, exploring new places with him and my daughter, being with my enormous family and indulging in self-care (painting my nails is my favorite!) while binge watching movies and shows!

Tiny Party People Nanny offers professional childcare services for weddings, corporate events, and private parties, etc. allowing parents to be fully present without needing to focus on their children. I support families so they can fully enjoy their celebrations without the added stress of managing children. My mission is to make events with kids, of any age, run smoother and more enjoyable.
I work closely with wedding and event venues, as well as planners and coordinators, to ensure a seamless experience for both clients and guests. Every event is different, and I’m happy to accommodate your vision. Whether you prefer children to be cared for in a separate room or included in the celebration with a dedicated caregiver by their side, I adjust my services to meet your needs.

I also offer offsite childcare options, providing care in the comfort of the children's home (If you are from out of town- Airbnb or hotel.)
